About The FIT/UCE EAP
The FIT/UCE Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a jointly sponsored labor-management program, first instituted at FIT in August 1990. We offer confidential assistance to employees, their families and significant others, who may be experiencing personal problems which can affect their ability to function on the job.
The FIT/UCE EAP is easy to access. A free confidential appointment with a professionally trained EAP Counselor can be made by calling (212) 217-5600. Voice mail is connected 24 hours a day and messages are retrieved daily. The EAP office hours are Monday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are located in Room A608D - Dubinsky Center.
Once an appointment is made, our EAP Counselor will meet with you, make an assessment of the problem, provide information and an appropriate referral if necessary. In making the referral, among the things we take into account are an individual’s insurance and financial circumstances, and preferences for gender, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic background of the provider. All providers are licensed mental health professionals.
